Infinity of Shipibo-conibo

I made 486 small pot-like objects inspired by the ceramic arts of the Shibibo-Conibo community. Then I played with the forms and lines and installed them in geometric shapes.

When I visited the Shipibo-Conibo community in San Rafael- Pucallpa I found out that most of Shipibo woman have stopped creating their traditional ceramics, and it is not a popular art tradition in the community anymore because it takes time, put a lot of effort into it and then does not sell well in the commercial world.

I wanted to bring attention to this point with my project and thus created it using expressions of Shipibo-conibo infinity art.
